„Les éclairs“ are Peter Simon and Freya Hattenberger, who both have a background in contemporary performance- and media art.
Their approach is more likely to show the process of music making as a performance rather than giving a normal concert. In evocative actions, their musical production appears like a trip through soundscapes of noise, broken soundimages and a sometimes dreamy, sometimes scary use of human voice.
During their performances on-site improvisations melt together with pre-arranged chords. Selfmade electronics, everyday-items and found-on-the-road-gadgets are also used as instruments. By looping and layering acoustic events, „Les éclairs“ explore the poetry of the moment on the edge of feedback and distortion.
Every appearance of „Les éclairs“ is a situationistic reflection of the context of representation.
